Emmanuel Oduro Darko

Chairman

Results oriented personality who combines 45 years of credit union management and institutional development experience gained from working in over 20 National Credit Union Apex Organizations in Africa and some related study tours made to some countries other than Africa.A commitment to effective team work, skill transfers, employee development and training skills has resulted in a proven background of improved organization management, communication and financial skills ensuring institutional capacity building and sustainability.


Mr. Darko held various positions with the Liberia Credit Union National Association(11years) and the African Confederation of Co-operative Savings and Credit Association, (ACCOSCA) (for 6 years) . In April 1996 he was employed by the Canadian Co-operative Association as a Management Advisor to the Credit Union Association in Ghana to assist in the Management of a six-year bilateral project signed between the Governments of Ghana and Canada. He then became the General Manager of the Ghana Co-operative Credit Union Association for 12 years until July 2014. His hard work, dedication and competence in the discharge of his duties have been observed throughout the movement in Africa and by other Partners around the World.


He was the immediate past Chairman of the Ghana Micro Finance Network (GHAMFIN)( 2006-2014) and the Secretary of the Africa Micro Finance Institutions Network (AFMIN) from 2006 – 2009 and a vice Chairman from2010 – 2012.


A part-time lecturer at the University of Cape Coast on a Diploma Course on Micro Finance for three years to 2009. Currently acting as a consultant to the Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA) and the Irish League of Credit Unions, International Development for the revival of credit unions in Sierra Leone and Liberia Since June 2008 and recently in Uganda since March 2015.


He is a Board Member of SEND Foundation Ghana and a Chairman of Investa Capital, a Fund Management Institution with branches through Ghana. Currently the Chairman of KAMCCU Co-op. Credit Union, Accra.
He is also a motivational speaker who honors more than 30 speaking engagement both nationally and internationally per year.

The author of three books:

“Have Control over your life, it is for you alone”
“Nobody is born poor”

“The Evolution and enduring Power of the Credit Union Movement in Ghana”


AWARDS

Currently Mr. Darko is the Goodwill Ambassador for the Africa Confederation of Co-operative Savings and Credit Association (ACCOSCA) responsible for the promotion of Credit Unions as poverty reduction tool in the African Continent.


He was a recipient of the Second Prize Award of the Cynthia Mandidza International Credit Union Training Award during the WOCCU Forum held in Cork, Ireland in June 1993.


In 1994, he was presented with a Silver Award by the World Council of Credit Unions for his outstanding performance towards the development of credit unions in Africa.


In addition to the above, in October 31, 2014 he was awarded plaque in recognition for his exceptional meritorious services in the growth of the African Confederation of Co-operative Savings and Credit Association (ACCOSCA).

Bubune Malik

Mr. Bubune Malik is a lecturer and researcher at the African University College of Communications (AUCC). Over the past seven years, He has taught various courses from the Development Communication and Journalism Departments of AUCC.


Before joining the AUCC, Mr Malik held various positions including as a Research Assistant with the Institute of Statistical Social and Economic Research (ISSER) and Center for Gender Studies and Advocacy (CEGENSA).
Mr. Malik is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Education, Winneba. He holds an MPhil in Business Communication, M.A in Development Communication, M.A in Adult Education (Human Resource Development) and a Bachelor's Degree in Geography and Resource Development

Yaw Boakye Mensah

Assistant Treasurer

YAW BOAKYE MENSAH, holds an MBA in Finance and a Degree in Management Studies, all from the University Cape Coast (UCC)


He is a student with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG)


He has worked with the Ghana Co-operative Credit Unions Association (CUA) Ltd. as a Regional Manager- Ashanti and Tema Chapter(s), An Auditor, an Accounts Officer, and a caretaker Manager of Brim Community and Nkawkaw Community co-operative Credit Unions.


Yaw Boakye Mensah, is a certified trainer with the Ghana Microfinance Institution Network (GHAMFIN)

Yaw Boakye Mensah, is an elected Board Member of the Kamccu Co-operative credit union and serves as the Assistant Treasurer


He has previously served on the Supervisory Committee of KAMCCU.

Currently, Yaw Boakye Mensah works with the Ghana Revenue Authority Co-operative Credit Unions Ltd. as the Deputy Manager in charge of Finance.


He is married with three boys.

Alex is an IT Security and safety management Consultant with an extensive background in Project
Management, Business, Systems Analysis with a wide range of experience in construction project.

He is a Managing Partner for S. G. Technologies in the following companies:
i. IT, Security and Safety Consult,
ii. ELJEN Company – an International Technology and Vocational Education and Training firm
iii. Dalex Institute of Technology – an Engineering Training Company and
iv. Have served on many Boards and Committees.


He is also a professional engineer and member of the Institute of Engineers and Technologies (IETGhana).


Engr. Alex holds a PhD in Management from the University Central of Nicaragua (UCN).

Joshua Kwei Mensah

Member

Joshua Mensah is a Soft Skills Trainer and Youth Coach at the Youth opportunities and transformation Africa with the Plan International on the Pathway for Sustainable Employment for Women and Youth (PASEWAY) project with funding from the German Government, he provides tailored skills training for youth, leading to improvements in their leadership, financial literacy, entrepreneurship and life planning skills on the Projects and He also member of the Young Investors Society Students Advisory Board (UK) . He has served as a financial consultant and a business coach for micro and small business owners and worked for 10 years in the investment banking industry with Databank. He is a 360° strategist and trainer with extended experience working with the financial inclusion and microenterprises. As a Youth Finance program manager of the Young Investors Network, he collaborated with Securities and Exchange Commission, Ghana Stock Exchange and Bank of Ghana to bring financial literacy clinics and seminars to the youth and informal sector across the country.
He has organized financial literacy programs and set up Investment Clubs in Senior High Schools and universities in the Ghana. As an SME Business Advisor at the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development, he provides business advisory services to small and micro business owners and helped them improve operations through critical business evaluation, key document review, Strategy development and implementation, capital raising, human resource alignment etc.
Joshua is a Youth Entrepreneurship specialist and author of numerous small business articles, e-books, and training courses-programs for aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs, small business owners, and professional service providers. 
Joshua Mensah holds a BSc Banking & Finance and MSc Strategic Management. He is also a Certified Credit Administrator from the National Banking College
